Lyndon Hood - Pro-Iraqi, Wellington

Friday, September 29, 2006

I know it's sad that Australian troops are coming under fire in Iraq and all but what gets me about their press release is this:
... Australian soldiers serving in Southern Iraq were engaged by Anti-Iraqi Forces and that an intense exchange of fire ensued.
Anti-Iraqi Forces? Capitalised?

I mean, judging by the available evidence, they seem to be more anti-Australian.

Might the actually be Iraqis? If that's the case, maybe 'self-hating Iraqis' would be clearer.

Although I suppose it's apt in that, if you combine an Iraqi and an Anti-Iraqi into one body, you get an explosion.

Supporters of Mr Field have also come forward. "Taito Phillip Field has been investigated an entirely, completely and inarguably exonerated by this Ingram Report. These continuing allegations are clearly political," said Selio Solomon, Chairman of the Committee to Re-Elect the MP for Mangere. Read the rest...
